Training
Beginner
Training takes place on a Monday evening from 7.30pm to 8.30pm and Wednesday from 2.30pm to 3.30pm in the Studio at the Sports Centre. For those who have never fenced before we run a structured course of lessons in a friendly atmosphere. The Club has a large amount of equipment that any member of the Club can borrow, so if you're just starting don't worry we will provide you with everything you need.
Intermediate
Fencers at an intermediate level have a training session on Wednesday at 3.30pm. Intermediate fencers are also welcome to come to the advanced sessions on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday where they can improve their technique by fencing other people.
Advanced
Lessons take place on Tuesday, 3.30pm and Friday, 4.00pm in the University Sports Centre. The training consists of individual lessons from Neil. Covering a wide range of topics to advance the style and technique of the experienced fencer.
A Footwork and Fitness session is also held on Monday at 6.30pm where, with coaching from Glen, fencers can work on their stamina, agility, and improve the quality of their footwork.
